Behind the Whistle: Supporting Sport's Third Team
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the RQ Foundation held its second annual fundraiser, "Behind the Whistle: Supporting Sport’s Third Team," at the historic Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis. A crowd of approximately 150 attendees enjoyed three insightful panels led by distinctive leaders in the sports world and raised more than $60,000 to support the RQ Foundation’s mission to enrich the officiating profession.
Anthony Calhoun, the Emmy Award-winning sports director at WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis, was the event emcee and led a captive audience through a wide array of discussion topics that ranged from Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), the Transfer Portal, and the ever-changing landscape of college sports, to light-hearted officiating stories from the panelists' careers.
The panel discussion topics were “Pro Sports”, “College Sports” and “Flag Football”, with each panel featuring two expert speakers.
Pro Sports Panel
- Stephanie White: Head Coach, Indiana Fever
- Jack Doyle: Retired NFL Tight End, Indianapolis Colts
College Sports Panel
- Scott Dolson: Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Indiana University

In addition to the panels, the event hosted a silent auction for the second straight year, featuring donations from Indiana University Athletics, The Indiana State Fair, Golf Club of Indiana, and many others.
The RQ Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all who attended and supported the 2025 fundraiser and for their contributions toward building a stronger, more sustainable future for collegiate sports officials.
